Coral Garden Cuff

This design is 100% handmade in my studio by me from beginning to end. I began designing this piece in wax and handbuilt and carved a wax model. I then cast the wax model in Bronze using the lost wax process, in my studio. Each is one of a kind since each is made one at a time and I cast, tool, and finish each individually in my studio.
Material: Solid Bronze (as always, nickel and lead free!)
SIZE: Each is adjustable and pliable and can be opened and closed to fit comfortably on the wrist. I can make this cuff in a variety of sizes, please pick from the drop down.
I custom make every cuff from wax and then cast it.

FeverFew Earrings
Feverfew Leaf Earrings - Handmade in Austin, Tx - Plant Jewelry - Statement Earrings - made by Jamie Spinello
Size: From ear wire to the tip of the leaves, each measure just under 2" long.
Parthenium Hysterophorus, also known as Santa Maria Feverfew. I was really attracted to the lacy leaves of this "weed" growing in my garden, so I utilized its leaves in a few designs and learned more about it. 'SantaMaria Feverfew' / 'Parthenium Hysterophorus', is a native plant to northern Mexico and Texas. Although it is often pulled from the garden as a weed, it actually has positive effects on the surrounding plants by pulling nitrogen from the air and releasing it into the soil. It was once used by native people for the treatment of fever illnesses, similar to the European FeverFew herbaceous plant.
Material: The pair in the picture is cast in Bronze. I can also cast these in sterling silver, please use the drop-down to select the material.

When will my order ship?
If you ordered an item that is "ready to ship" then I generally ship between 1-3 business days after the time of purchase.
If you ordered something that is "made to order" then I will begin production after receipt of payment.

The Wild Grape (Vitus Mustangenesis) that these leaves were taken from are often mistaken for and crowded out by their close but less flamboyant cousin, the Muscadine. Both are wild grapes that are native to the southern United States, including Texas. Growing up in Mississippi, where vines climb with abundance in every forest, I often came across wild grapes. Upon eating them, I quickly learned that just because they look like grapes doesn't mean they will taste like it. The bitter skinned fruit from this plant is generally used to make jams, jellies and wines, but is not the best for eating raw. If you love sour and bitter things, however, you will probably enjoy eating these. I do!

Ammonites were prehistoric creatures that were (essentially) the predecessors of the present day chambered nautilus. They were cephalopods that lived on the bottom of the ocean inside their chambered shells millions of years ago. Each cell within their shell was a new room they built for their body as they grew, leaving behind the smaller cell they once inhabited, and so I view the chambered nautilus, as many do, as a symbol for the spiral of life; symbolizing how we endure and grow through our own chapters. I have always been fascinated by the chambered nautilus and its beautiful geometry, so exact and so absolute.

This design features my illustration of a Milk Thistle that I have etched into metal. I have always been attracted to Milk Thistles but even more so since moving to Texas where Milk Thistles can grow over 6 feet tall in the wild. They tower and taunt with their purple poofs. It never fails, when I try to touch them, the wind shifts just enough so that one of the hypodermic needles which covers its leaves and stem brush against me resulting in finger pricks. These beautiful and monumental wildflowers of Texas are emblems of strength and perseverance.

Solid Sterling Silver and Turquoise
Each "Ground Dweller" ring is custom made and one of a kind. I use multiple plant elements from my vast collection of molds taken from plants in my garden and on hikes to constructs wax models of these rings that I then melt away after surrounding it in plaster cast (one time mold) and pour molten silver in to the mold to make this ring.
SIZE: This is a commission, I can make any size. Please add your size to the input form upon checkout. The approximate size of the the center piece of this ring is around 1"-1.25" wide.
