Milk Thistle Cameo Ring - handmade out of copper in my Austin Tx Studio - by Jamie Spinello
This design features my illustration of a Milk Thistle that I have etched into metal. I have always been attracted to Milk Thistles but even more so since moving to Texas where Milk Thistles can grow over 6 feet tall in the wild. They tower and taunt with their purple poofs. It never fails, when I try to touch them, the wind shifts just enough so that one of the hypodermic needles which covers its leaves and stem brush against me resulting in finger pricks. These beautiful and monumental wildflowers of Texas are emblems of strength and perseverance.
