FeverFew Earrings
FeverFew Leaf Earrings - Handmade in Austin, Tx - Plant Jewelry - Statement Earrings - made by Jamie Spinello
Size: From ear wire to the tip of the leaves, each measures just under 2" long.
Parthenium Hysterophorus, also known as Santa Maria Feverfew. I was really attracted to the lacy leaves of this "weed" growing in my garden, so I utilized its leaves in a few designs and learned more about it. 'SantaMaria Feverfew' / 'Parthenium Hysterophorus', is a native plant to northern Mexico and Texas. Although it is often pulled from the garden as a weed, it actually has positive affects on the surrounding plants by pulling nitrogen from the air and releasing it into the soil. It was once used by native people for treatment of fever illnesses, similarly to the European FeverFew herbaceous plant.

These earrings features two hands (one left hand, one right hand) with details on both the front and back of the hands of palm lines and small knuckle and fingernail details. I made these to celebrate my favorite tools, my hands!

Double Fern Ring
Double Fern Ring - Adjustable Design

I make this design to fit sizes between sizes 5-9.5, please add to size box during checkout. There is a bit of room for readjustment if you need to change the fit after receipt of your ring.
Each is completely handmade and one of a kind. I make each one at a time in my studio, by creating a wax model and then casting the piece in either bronze or silver.

Ammonites were prehistoric creatures that were (essentially) the predecessors of the present day chambered nautilus. They were cephalopods that lived on the bottom of the ocean inside their chambered shells millions of years ago. Each cell within their shell was a new room they built for their body as they grew, leaving behind the smaller cell they once inhabited, and so I view the chambered nautilus, as many do, as a symbol for the spiral of life; symbolizing how we endure and grow through our own chapters. I have always been fascinated by the chambered nautilus and its beautiful geometry, so exact and so absolute.

Bronze Bone Bangle

This bangle was made from a mold that was a discontinued design given to me by a friend years ago that no longer makes jewelry.
The mold was made from linking models of an Ulna bone together that originated from a possum that met its untimely end on a roadside. The Ulna is the larger of the two forearm bones.
Each is made to order, which means, my production of the design begins after purchase.

Wreath of Endurance Diadem Pendant
I made this in 2019 and originally entitled it "Corona Diadem" Pendant, which is latin for crown and greek for crown, the base of the word "diadeo" meaning "to bind around."
In 2020, I have changed the name for obvious reasons. This design now represents something quite different for me and I see it as a symbol for endurance.
This design is symbolic of ceremonial harvest wreath ornaments and binding rituals.
Each is one of a kind, I twist new pieces on making each a little different.

Long Bronze Primrose Pods *Ready to ship*

Seed Pods of the Primrose made out of Bronze, Native Wildflower Specimen cast into solid Bronze
Handmade in my studio from beginning to end.
These are mutated (fasciated) seed pods from a Mexican Evening Primrose that I cast into bronze and made into earrings last year. I collected them from the side of the interstate on the way to Dallas last year and it was a real trick even figuring out what they were because the rest of the plant had died.
